...because community matters
Naomi Gurt Lind started COMMUNITY MATTERS to help congregations, minyanim, and other organizations address their engagement needs on a project basis. Naomi has a proven track record of increasing volunteer participation, deepening member engagement, revitalizing dormant programs, and innovating for new programs. Her program of small-group engagement won the coveted Belin Award from the Union for Reform Judaism. Naomi is a Jewish communal professional with depth of experience in congregational life and a fervent belief in the transformative power of community.
Naomi partners with clergy and lay leadership to strengthen the bonds that make for healthy communities. Congregations that are not in a position to hire a full-time engagement professional can benefit from targeted coaching to address specific issues. Using a strategic approach that leverages individual strengths, Naomi helps organizations of all types increase engagement through small-group programming, volunteerism, chesed care, social interaction and more. Using the principles of Relational Judaism, Naomi assists synagogues and other organizations in finding holiness and elevating their everyday work, helping communities to thrive in uncertain times.
